The aim of Central America Health Sciences University, Belize Medical College is to ensure good health of peoples through public service and education. The medical program involves the thorough study of the human body as well as the coordination of its major systems.
Conferences, lectures, and laboratory exercises form a significant role in the course of study. Curriculum is regularly assessed and revised by the Medical Education Committee to keep updated with the latest advances which includes health promotion and management.

The University which is chartered by the Government of Belize is already approved by the Ministry of Education in Belize. CAHSU is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and published by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
This University is officially recognized by the Educational Commission on Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for students to appear for the USMLE and to allow admission into a residency program in the United States of America.
It is already recognized by the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom (UK) to let students appear for the Professional Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) and to simplify admission into a residency program of the United Kingdom (UK).
